About us:

Hello! Here we are: a family whose dream was country life and country living!

More than 20 years ago we bought this property on the hills near Pistoia. At that time we lived in Prato, not far away from Buriano. With love, care and a lot of time (and money!) we succeded in restoring this house, that looked like to be abandoned for years.

We love country life, living on open air, taking care of the many (ca 500!) olivetrees and the few animals living on the premise.

We are glad to share it with guests that will enjoy the pleasure to spend some days in a relaxing way.

We have been renting for holidays casa Buriano since 2015 with great satisfaction: our guests' feedbacks are gorgeous

Each one of us has his role in running this place. Here we are:

Elena will promptly answer your mails and questions!

Giulia will be on spot on check in day and sometimes during your stay to check out pool and that everything is ok.

Fabio will be almost daily on the property, because he personally takes care of the oliven trees and of the garden.

We will try to be "invisible" and not to disturb your privacy, but we will also be there or via whatsapp/SMS/mobile to contact if you need help or suggestions!

About Casa Buriano.

Position:

Casa Buriano lays amid a large property with some 500 Olive trees on the hills of Quarrata. This is a small town few Kilometers away from Pistoia. Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Apuan Alps and the tuscan cost are all easy to reach in less or about 1 hour drive.

Ist position is undoubtfully the best starting point to discover the north part of Tuscany, but indeed also the ideal place where you can relax with a good book in the large garden or by the pool.

The position of the house with its gorgeaous view is something unforgettable!

Our house:

The whole house is divided into 2 big and completely separated apartments FABIO and GIULIA, each one with 3 bedrooms and 2 complete bathrooms. Casa Buriano can be rented as a whole Villa by a big Group up to 12 guests.

The 2 apartments can be also separately rented. Garden, BBQ, Pool, parking are common places to share with the other guests. Privacy is anyway guaranteed by entrances and outdoor sitting places placed on opposite sides of the house.

The neighbourhood:

In the near town Quarrata (about 4 km downhill away) you will find everything you need: Bakery, Butchery, Supermarkets, Restaurants, Bars, Postoffice, Bank ....

Just out of our gate you can take Long walks. On this country road there is always very poor trafic and it goes uphill into the wood.Just above us there is the little country Church San Michele Arcangelo a Buriano: our property was once part of its landpossessions.

What can you do during your holiday?

Swim of course! You can read, sleep, have a BBQ, relax, take long walks.... But not just it! Casa Buriano is the perfect place for quitefully and relaxing holiday in a corner of Tuscany, still quite unknown to the tourism mass. It is the best starting point to discover the north part of Tuscany: Pistoia is only 15 km away. A real medieval juwel unfortunately (or fortunately?) "forgotten" by most tourists. 2017 it will be the italian culture capital town.
From Pistoia you can easily reach Florence und Lucca: 20 minutes by train or 30-40 minutes drive starting from Buriano.

And also Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, is easy to reach driving on the countra roads of Montalbano. Do not forget to visit Carmignano und Artimino with the famous Villa Medicea and the many Wine cellars.

For those who love to spend one day at the seaside Torre del Lago, Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore und Forte die Marmi are in 50 minutes drive to reach taking the Highway Firenze-Mare.

You can say, there is much of a choice!

That's worth to know!

Casa Buriano is not reached by any public Transport. A (rental) car is a must!

Casa Buriano is a big Villa (about 400 mq) divided into 2 Apartments. The Apartments can be separate rented or as one unit for a big group of people.

The 2 Apartments FABIO and GIULIA have the same area and are very similar in their facilities.

we have a pricelist with different Prices according the occupancy. The exceeding bedrooms will be closed up.

The doublebeds have all a single big matress and therefore they can't be made as 2 single beds.

The pool is about 6 x 12 mt and about 1,50 mt deep. Ist use is private and exclusive for our guests. The pool will be daily cleaned. It is a "bio pool" : its water is treated with sea salt and very poor chlor. The pool is not heated and opened from middle May to end September. A slight difference in the opening and closing time can be occured according to the weather conditions each year.

Towels, Kitchen towels, bed linen are all included in the Price. Towels are changed on weekly Basis.

Pooltowels are not at disposal!

WiFi is at disposal and for free up to 1,5 GB per day.

Pets are welcome! We also have a dog. We made a special place for him and you can profit if you need to let your pet at home but on open air.

15th August is bank Holiday in Italy: Banks, Post office, most of the shops and supermarkets are closed! Think in advance to do some shopping for that day!
